UK TEA

UK Teas
PFPC 2000 -2013

UK Tea Facts:

  • In the UK, the majority of the daily fluoride intake comes from tea, estimated to be providing 70% of total intake (Rao, 1984).
  • Daily consumption of tea per person is 3 cups a day (National Drinks Survey 2001)

The teas below were analyzed for fluoride content in 1999, when the York Review was conducting their systematic review on water fluoridation. As a result of the PFPC submission, the York Review changed the study protocol. For more info, click HERE.

Teas were analyzed using a government approved and certified lab in Langley, BC.
